| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá chováním Ligy arabských států ve vztahu k vybraným zemím, v nichž proběhly nepokoje arabského jara. Zaměřuji se na Tunisko, Egypt, Libyi a Sýrii. Cílem je nalézt odpověď na otázku, jaké motivy vedly jednání LAS ve vztahu k některým členským zemím, v nichž propukly nepokoje arabského jara, a jaké nástroje řešení konfliktů tato organizace ve vztahu k těmto zemím využívala. Odpověď chci nalézt na pozadí podstaty fungování mezinárodních organizací, a zvláště jejich role v řešení konfliktů.Po provedení analýzy jsem zjistil, že Liga arabských států využívala různorodé nástroje řešení konfliktů, nejčastěji veřejné výzvy ve formě rezolucí. Rozdílné chování Ligy arabských států k jednotlivým členům bylo determinováno mezinárodním tlakem, mocenským rozložením sil v oblasti Blízkého východu, fenoménem arabské občanské společnosti, zájmy jednotlivých zemí a osobou generálního tajemníka, jehož snahou bylo učinit z Ligy arabských států efektivní a flexibilní regionální organizaci. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the relations of the League of Arab States affected by the Arab Spring unrests: Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Syria. The aim is to reveal the motives behind the behavior of the League of Arab States in relation to its member states, in which unrest broke out, in order to assess the conflict resolution mechanisms used. The analysis will be conducted in view of the operating principles of international organizations, especially concerning their role in conflict resolution.The analysis shows that the League of Arab States employed various instruments of conflict resolution, consisting most often of public appeals by issuing resolutions. The different behavior of the League of Arab States towards individual member states was driven by international pressure and the distribution of power in the Middle East. Additionally, the emergence of civil society in the affected states was found to have an influence, as were the interests of individual member states and of the general secretary who attempted to make the League of Arab States into an effective and flexible regional organization. |
