| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je kritické hodnocení použitelnosti profilace v různých rozsazích její definice pro jednotlivé vlastnosti dat a informací. Teoretická část se zabývá vztahem dat a informací a následným vlivem tohoto vztahu na datovou a informační kvalitu. Na základě analýzy procesů řízení datové kvality jak za použití profilace, tak rozšiřujících či vůči profilaci se vymezujících metod, byly shrnuty hlavní klady jejich využití a ty následně konfrontovány s jejich skutečnou schopností měřit míru vlastností dat či informací. |

| Abstract: | The goal of the diploma thesis is the critical evaluation of the usability of the profiling in the scope of its different definitions for the assessment of the level of the data or information quality. The theoretical part deals with the relations between data and information and subsequent effect of this relation on the data and information quality. The main benefits of using either data profiling or alternative techniques were based on the analysis of data quality management processes, which was done also in the theoretical part. The techniques’ actual ability to measure data of information quality was assessed. |
