| Abstract: | This master’s thesis examines leveraging blockchain technology in enterprises. Blockchain as one of the global phenomena of today has already found its use on various layers of human interaction and a lot of companies are naturally discovering the use of blockchain to achieve their own business goals. Using the Technology-Organization-Environment framework (TOE), this thesis covers the merits of the technology and its use cases in an enterprise environment. As first, the blockchain technology is explained from the underlying motivation over the core mechanisms to possible applications in enterprises including an overview of suitable implementations. A quantitative survey and individual consultations and interviews with industry experts were carried out as part of the scope of work. At the end of thesis an evaluation method of the collected data is designed to find out an adoption level of the technology across several segments of companies. Finally, the goal of this thesis is to find out how companies adopt this technology, in which fields do they try to utilize it, how far are they in utilizing it and what is the overall state of usability of this technology. |

| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce pojednává o využití blockchainu ve firmách. Blockchain je jako jeden z aktuálních fenoménů doby již našel uplatnění na různých vrstvách lidské interakce a zcela přirozeně mnoho firem objevuje jeho využití i k dosažení svých business cílů.Za volného použití frameworku Technology-Organization-Environment (Technology-Organizace-Prostředí, zkr. TOE) jsou v práci nastíněny merity technologie s přihlédnutích k jejich využití ve firmách. Nejprve je vysvětlena technologie blockchainu od základní motivace přes mechanismy jejího fungování po možné aplikace ve firemních včetně průzkumu vhodných implementací. Součástí práce byl dotazníkový průzkum i individuální konzultace a rozhovory s experty oboru. V závěru práce je navržena metoda vyhodnocení sesbíraných dat směřující k určení míry přijetí technologie napříč různými segmenty firem.Cílem práce je zjistit, jak firmy přijímají tuto technologii, v jakých oblastech se ji snaží uplatnit, jak jsou ve svém snažení daleko a jaký je obecný stav využitelnosti této technologie. |
