| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje teoriím jaderné proliferace, a to třem modelům motivů pro získání jaderné bomby S. Sagana, realistickému a idealistickému přístupu k jaderné proliferace J. Hymanse, strategické logice jaderné proliferace N. Monteira a A. Debse. Následně se zabývá režimem nešíření jaderných zbraní a dvěma hlavními relevantními smlouvami, a to Smlouvou o nešíření jaderných zbraní a Smlouvou o všeobecném zákazu jaderných zkoušek. Teoreticko-metodologická východiska jsou aplikovány na problematiku jaderné proliferace v regionu jižní Asie (Indie a Pákistán). Cílem práce je přehledně identifikovat hlavní motivy jaderné proliferace v těchto dvou zemích a dokázat, že proces proliferace jaderných zbraní představuje aspekt zhoršení bezpečností situace v této oblasti. |

| Abstract: | The master thesis deals with the theories of the nuclear proliferation – S. Sagan`s three models in search of a nuclear bomb; J. Hymans` realistic and idealistic approach to the nuclear proliferation; N. Monteiro`s and A. Debs` model of strategic logic of nuclear proliferation. Then the thesis tackles the issue of non-proliferation regime with special reference to the Non Proliferation Treaty and to the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. Theoretical and methodological basis is applied to the issue of the nuclear proliferation in the region of South Asia (India and Pakistan). This thesis comprehensively explains the main motives for a search of a nuclear weapon in these two countries. The main goal of this thesis is to clarify that the nuclear proliferation embodies one of the aspects which tend to worsen the security environment in South Asia. |
