| Abstract: | Diplomová práce zkoumá roli konceptu laïcité a jeho vnímání současnou multikulturní francouzskou společností v kontextu bezprecedentních bezpečnostních výzev posledních let. Specifický francouzský sekularismus byl přijat v roce 1905 zákonem
o odluce státu a církve. Od jeho implementace do právního systému prošla Francie mnoha změnami a francouzská společenská struktura se stala v průběhu let nábožensky i kulturně více diverzifikovanou, leč prameny konceptu zůstávají neměnné. Historický kontext formování laïcité a jeho specifika jsou základem
pro umožnění komplexní analýzy. Výzkumná hypotéza práce spočívá v předpokladu stabilizační funkce laïcité ve společnosti a existence dostatečných ochranných prostředků pro její zneužití ve prospěch mocensko-politických zájmů.
Pohled francouzské společnosti na představenou problematiku bude zkoumán pomocí komparativní analýzy průzkumů veřejného mínění provedených v roce 2015 a 2018. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis examines the role of the concept of laïcité and its perception
by contemporary multicultural French society in the context of recent unprecedented security challenges. Specific French secularism was adopted in 1905 by the Law
on the Separation of the State and the Church. Since its implementation into the legal system France has undergone many changes and its social structure has become more religiously and culturally diversified but the sources and interpretations
of the concept remain unchanged. In order to enable a comprehensive analysis,
the historical context of laicity formation and its specifics are introduced.
The hypothesis is founded in assumptions that laïcité represents a stabilization element in French society and that sufficient protective means are in place to prevent its misuse in favour of political interests. The society perspective on the presented issue will be analysed using a comparative analysis of public opinion polls conducted in 2015 and 2018. |
