| Abstract: | Diplomová práce zkoumá význam Komplexní hospodářské a obchodní dohody v kontextu vývoje vzájemných obchodních a investičních vztahů mezi EU a Kanadou a v souvislosti s proměnou postojů vyspělých států k bilaterálnímu a multilaterálnímu pojetí světového obchodu. Analytickému rozboru je podroben negociační proces a role klíčových aktérů a zájmových skupin na obou stranách. Práce nabízí přehled klíčových ustanovení dohody a zhodnocení očekávaných ekonomických i neekonomických dopadů na základě výsledků dostupných studií, které byly vypracovány Evropskou komisí či nezávislými institucemi v různých fázích vyjednávání. Shrnutí a komplexnější pojetí silných a slabých stránek dohody CETA včetně identifikace hlavních příležitostí a potenciálních hrozeb vytvoření zóny volného obchodu mezi EU a Kanadou je obsaženo v závěrečné SWOT analýze. |

| Abstract: | This paper studies the importance of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement in the context of the development of EU-Canada trade and investment relations and the transformation of developed states' attitudes towards the bilateral and multilateral trading systems. Negotiation process and the role of key actors and stakeholders on both sides are subjects of analysis. This paper provides an overview of the key provision of the agreement and includes critical evaluation of the expected economic and non-economic impacts based on the results of available reports, that has been published by European Commission or independent research institutes in different phases of the negotiations. Summary and a more complex evaluation of main strengths and weaknesses of CETA, including identification of major opportunities and potential threats related to the creation of the EU-Canada free trade area, is included in the final SWOT analysis. |
