| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou jedné specifické formy cestovního ruchu, konkrétně jde o MICE a kongresový cestovní ruch, který je řazen mezi ekonomicky nejefektivnější. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje pojmy týkající se kongresového a MICE cestovního ruchu se zaměřením na organizaci akcí. Praktická část práce obsahuje celkem dvě kapitoly. První z nich charakterizuje MICE cestovní ruch vybrané lokality- České republiky, především pak hlavního města Prahy, kde se koncentruje většina kongresových a MICE akcí. Dále vyhodnocuje a analyzuje současné postavení Prahy jako kongresové destinace z hlediska řízení, dispozice a vybavení města či výkonech v podobě statistického sledování za loňský rok 2017. Nejvýznamnější institucí, která působí v MICE průmyslu je Mezinárodní asociace kongresů a konferencí(ICCA). Tato asociace pořádá každoročně výroční kongres. Jde o nejprestižnější kongresovou událost, které se účastní profesionálové a odborníci tohoto oboru. Praha se stala vítěznou destinací pro její 56. ročník. Třetí kapitola práce představuje významnost, popisuje proces získání této události do pražské metropole a shrnuje jeho celkovou organizaci dle teoretických znalostí. Přínosem práce mohou být i závěrečné výstupy dotazníkového šetření, které hodnotily průběh kongresu a celkovou spokojenost zúčastněných delegátů. |

| Abstract: | The final thesis focuses on one of the specific forms of tourism industry, namely MICE and congress tourism which rank among the most economically effective. The theoretical part of the thesis explains some terms of MICE tourism pertaining to the organization of events. The practical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter characterises the situation of MICE tourism in the Czech Republic, mainly in Prague where the majority of events takes place. It also analyzes and evaluates the currect position of Prague as a MICE destination, the agenda of this field, facilities and also statistical figures from last year 2017. The most important institution in MICE is ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association). This association organizes the annual congress attended by MICE experts and professionals from all over the world. Prague became a host destination for the 56th Congress ICCA in 2017. The third chapter deals mainly with the importance of this event, briefly explains the process of Prague gaining this event and summarizes the organisation of the congress in accordance with the theoretical part. The merit of thesis may also lie in the summary of the significant outputs of the survey evaluating the process of the ICCA congress and satisfaction of the delegates involved. |
