| Abstract: | Po zvolení Donalda Trumpa celý svět očekával, zda vyplní své sliby z předvolební kampaně a změní tak zásadně podobu zahraniční politiky. Spojené státy jsou země, která svými rozhodnutími ovlivňuje celé mezinárodní společenství a okolní aktéři se podle jejího směru orientují. Přesto existuje výjimka a tou je Venezuela. Tato práce řeší proměnu zahraniční politiky Spojených států amerických vůči Venezuele a jejím cílem je poskytnou argumenty výrazné změně její podoby ve funkčním období Trumpa. Práce se zaměřuje zejména na hledání argumentů v souvislosti se změnou v mezinárodních vztazích, v regionální politice a konečně ve vztahu k vnitropolitické situaci ve Venezuele. K řešení bylo použito metod analýzy a komparace, obou pro pochopení vedení zahraniční politiky amerických prezidentů, a jedná se konkrétně o Bushe, Obamu a Trumpa. Na základě poznatků vzešlých z tohoto zkoumání jsme zjistili, že Trumpova změna ve vedení zahraniční politiky je opodstatněná, našli jsme pro ni argumenty v předem zvolených kategoriích. Výsledky této práce umožňují nahlédnout na kritéria, které jsou zásadní nejen pro formování zahraniční politiky vůči Venezuele, ale i obecně. |

| Abstract: | After the election of Donald Trump, the whole world expected if he complete his promises from the pre-election campaign and change the form of U.S. foreign policy. The United States is a country which, by its decision, has an influence on the entire international community, and also the other actors are orienting in its direction. But there is an exception and that is Venezuela. This thesis addresses the change of foreign policy of the United States towards Venezuela and its aims is to provide arguments for a significant change in its form during Trump's administration. The thesis focuses primarily on finding arguments in connection with the change in international relations, in regional policy and finally in relation to the domestic political situation in Venezuela. The analysis and comparison are methods, which were used to understand the foreign policy leadership of U.S. presidents – especially for Bush, Obama and Trump. Based on this investigation, we found that Trump's change in foreign policy management is well substantiated, and we found arguments for it in pre-selected categories. The results of this work enable insight into the criteria that are crucial not only for the formation of foreign policy towards Venezuela but also in general. |
