| Abstract: | Tato práce si dává za úkol představit čtenáři téma autentizovaného šifrování s asociovanými daty (AEAD), což je šifrovací schéma, které dokáže zajistit bezpečnost utajení i integrity zprávy. Téma je v práci lehce nastíněno, avšak k plnému pochopení hlavního tématu práce a plynulého čtení je po-třeba rozsáhlejších znalostí problematiky.jelikož alespoň základní znalost této problematiky je potřebná pro pochopení hlavního tématu práce. Hlavním tématem práce je především kryptografická soutěž CAESAR, která byla vyhlášena s cílem nalezení šifry, která překoná stávající AEAD standard AES-GCM.V práci je představena soutěž CAESAR (Competition for Authenticated Encryption: Security, Appli-cability, and Robustness) se všemi požadavky pro širší veřejnost. Dále jsou popsáni finalisté této soutěže, a na základě veřejně dostupných informací i porovnáni mezi sebou. Cílem práce je pokusit se určit vítěze soutěže, popřípadě určit portfolio více vítězů v závislosti na případ užití.Přínosem práce je uskupení veřejně dostupných informací na jednom místě, srovnání finalistů očima laika a dále poskytnuté doporučení vítězné šifry, popř. vítězného portfolia více šifer. |

| Abstract: | This thesis aims to introduce the topic of authenticated encryption with associated data (AEAD) which is a scheme that provides security of confidentiality and integrity of a message. This topic is lightly introduced although to fully understand the main subject of this thesis, more knowledge of this theme is required.The main topic of this thesis is cryptographic competition CAESAR (Competition for Authenticated Encryption: Security, Applicability, and Robustness). This competition was announced with the goal to find a cipher that will be better than current AEAD standard AES-GCM.In this thesis there is introduced the CAESAR competition with all its requirements to wider audi-ence. Moreover the finalists of the competition are introduced aswell and based on publicly acces-sible information they are compared. The goal of this thesis is to define a winner of this competition or at least to determine the final portfolio of more ciphers in the relation of use cases.The contribution of this thesis is grouping of publicly accessible information in one place, compari-son of the finalists as a non-professional and giving a recommendation as to who should win the competition or atleast who should be in the final portfolio. |
