The Implementation of Self-service Business Intelligence solution for a Financial Company

This bachelor thesis analyses a draft of Self-service Business In-telligence solution prepared for a financial company. This topic was chosen because of the rising popularity of Business Intelli-gence of which Self-service Business Intelligence is a derivative. The author wanted to confirm that it is possible to implement Self-service Business Intelligence instrument in a concrete compa-ny. In the first section, the author introduces the topic and pre-sents it to the reader being specific about the current Business Intelligence state of evolution. A SWOT analyse was executed in the company to identify its main strengths, weaknesses, opportuni-ties and threats. In the second section, the architecture using Self-service Business Intelligence tool was created and it should be considered a complement to the standard Business Intelligence solution. In the third section, the author tries to prove that it is possible to run this solution on a cloud. A conclusion was reached that it is indeed possible to implement Self-service Busi-ness Intelligence solution. However, one has to bear in mind that when implementing such a solution, Power BI Gateway has to be used (On-premises data gateway). The cloud version of the solution was proved to be functioning as well.
