| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je analýza role grafického designu v propagandě. První část práce představuje teoretický rámec obou hlavních témat, tj. propagandy a grafického designu. Zároveň je zde uveden vztah mezi propagandou a uměním se zaměřením na propagandistický plakát. Druhá část se zabývá sovětskými a americkými propagandistickými plakáty v období studené války. Pozornost je soustřeďována především na podstatu konfliktu, znaky propagand obou klíčových aktérů a grafické analýze konkrétních propagandistických plakátů z daného období. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to analyze the role of graphic design in propaganda. The first part presents the theoretical framework of the two main themes, ie. propaganda and graphic design. Within this part we are given a relationship between propaganda and art focusing on a propaganda poster. The second part deals with Soviet and American propaganda posters during the Cold War period. The attention is primarily concentrated on the nature of the conflict, the propaganda features of both key actors and the graphical analysis of specific propaganda posters from that period. |
