| Abstract: | Tato práce pojednává o monitoringu IT infrastruktury a jeho dopadu na provoz služeb. Cílem práce je poskytnout komplexní pohled na problematiku monitoringu a seznámit tak čtenáře s principy, možnostmi a dostupnými nástroji. Dále je také popsán proces implementace a konfigurace nástroje Zabbix do produkčního prostředí reálné společnost. Při konfiguraci nástroje je kladen důraz na odfiltrování nerelevantních informací, vhodné nastavení prahových hodnot, triggering a alerting.Výstupem práce je srovnání vybraných monitorovacích nástrojů a doporučený postup implementace libovolného monitorovacího nástroje. Práce proto může být využita společnostmi při výběru a implementaci monitorovacího nástroje do vlastního prostředí. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the IT infrastructure monitoring and its impact on the service operation. The goal of this thesis is to provide the reader with a complex overview on the matter of monitoring. For this purpose, crucial principles, options and available tools are described first. The process of configurating Zabbix into the production environment of a real company is discussed next. Emphasis is given on filtering out irrelevant information, correctly setting up thresholds, triggers and alerts.The output of this thesis is a comparison of selected monitoring tools and a recommended procedure for implementation any monitoring tool. The thesis can therefore be used by companies when selecting and implementing a monitoring tool into their own environment. |
