| Abstract: | Diplomová práce je zaměřena na oblast fúzí a akvizic na území České republiky v kontextu regionu Střední a Jihovýchodní Evropy v období od roku 2013 do roku 2017. Práce analyzuje významnost tohoto trhu v ekonomice z pohledu jeho přínosů na mikroekonomické a makroekonomické úrovni, ale i rizik, která jsou s touto oblastí ekonomiky spojena. Zkoumané kvantitativní ukazatele, jako například celkový počet a objem uskutečněných transakcí, v kombinaci s regionální komparací v rámci regionu CSE slouží jako základ pro identifikaci hlavních specifik a posouzení významnosti českého trhu fúzí a akvizic v mezinárodního kontextu. Syntéza informací a dat z teoretické a praktické části práce umožňuje nastínění výhledu do budoucna ve zkoumaném sektoru a diskusi nad možnými scénáři v závislosti na determinantech, které práce identifikuje. V oblasti fúzí a akvizic patří Česká republika mezi nejvýznamnější země ve zkoumaném regionu a časovém úseku, a to jak z hlediska počtu a objemu uskutečněných transakcí, tak v podílu objemu obchodů na nominálním HDP. Investiční aktivita je v posledních letech podpořena zejména příznivými podmínkami financování v podobě nízkých úrokových sazeb. |

| Abstract: | This master's thesis focuses on the field of mergers and acquisitions in the Czech Republic in the context of Central and Southeastern Europe on the period from 2013 to 2017. The thesis analyzes the importance of the M&A market in the economy in terms of its benefits at the microeconomic and macroeconomic level, as well as its risks. The quantitative indicators examined in the thesis, such as the total number and volume of transactions, combined with regional comparisons within the CSE region serve as a basis for identification of the main features and assessing the importance of Czech M&A market in an international context. The synthesis of information and data from the theoretical and practical part of the thesis allows to outline the forecast for the future in the studied sector and to discuss possible scenarios depending on the determinants that are identified in the thesis. In the area of mergers and acquisitions, the Czech Republic is one of the most important countries in the region and during the time span, both in terms of the number and volume of transactions executed, and in the M&A volume share in nominal GDP. In recent years, investment activity has been supported by favorable financing conditions in the form of low interest rates. |
