| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá vlivem eura na vzájemný obchod států Evropské unie. Data obsahují 25 států EU, které jsou rozděleny do dvou datových souboru podle délky členství, pozorované v období 2004-2016. Za pomocí gravitačního modelu a modelu fixních efektů byl zjištěn pozitivně signifikantní efekt členství v eurozóně. To však pouze pro státy, které jsou členy EU od roku 1995. Euro zvyšuje obchod mezi takovými státy v průměru o 53,3 %. Kromě toho bylo zjištěno, že dvojice člen-nečlen eurozóny spolu obchodují více než dvojice nečlen-nečlen a to v průměru o 26,7 %. Efekt členství v eurozóně se pro státy, které vstoupily do EU před rokem 1995, ukázal jako statisticky nevýznamný. |

| Abstract: | This study examines the influence of the euro on the international trade between countries within the European Union. It compares a total of 25 countries divided into two data sets, based on the beginning of their membership in EU, in the time period between 2004 and 2016. Using the gravity model and the fixed effects model, a positively significant effect of EU membership was found. That however, only applies to the countries that joined the EU in 1995 or later. The international trade between these countries has increased by 53.3 % on average. It was also found, that the trade between the member-nonmember pairs of countries is higher by 26.7 % than between the nonmember-nonmember pairs. The influence on countries, who joined the EU before 1995, appeared to be statistically insignificant. |
