| Abstract: | Úroveň úhrnné plodnosti v jižní Evropě se dlouhodobě pohybuje pod hranici 1,3 dítěte na jednu ženu, což je označováno jako nejnižší nízká plodnost. Vývoj ukazatelů plodnosti ve vybraných zemích jižní Evropy, kterými jsou Španělsko, Portugalsko a Itálie, je porovnáván s vývojem, kterým v oblasti plodnosti procházela v minulosti česká populace. Hlavním cílem je objasnit, zda za poklesem plodnosti v jižní Evropě stojí fenomén odkládání mateřství do pozdějšího věku, který lze pozorovat právě v České republice, nebo zda došlo k samotnému poklesu plodnosti mladších generací. |

| Abstract: | The fertility rates in south Europe countries are below the 1.3 level for long time. This is sometimes called as lowest low fertility and it is taken as a big problem for the future population. The analysis of a population of Spain, Portugal and Italy is compared to fertility indicators in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to decide, if there are some similarities with the demographic development of the Czech population. The aim of this analysis is to answer the question whether there has been postpone of maternity or if the reason for the low level of fertility is due to low fertility rates in younger generations. |
