| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je analyzovat příjmovou diferenciaci a míru chudoby ve státech Evropské unie s důrazem na Českou republiku. V současné době se k měření chudoby využívají různé koncepty. K nejvýznamnějším patří absolutní a relativní pojetí. Ve vyspělých státech je používán relativní přístup k měření chudoby, který ale závisí na příjmovém rozdělení domácností. Hranice chudoby je v tomto pojetí vymezena šedesáti procenty mediánu ekvalizovaného disponibilního příjmu domácností. Snahou práce je analyzovat vliv příjmového rozdělení domácností v České republice na ukazatel míra ohrožení chudobou a posoudit citlivost tohoto ukazatele na definici hranice chudoby. V České republice je velice nízká příjmová diferenciace a v současnosti nejnižší míra ohrožení chudobou v Evropské unii. Analýza je založena na datech z šetření EU-SILC 2016. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to analyze income inequality and the poverty rate in the countries of the European Union with an emphasis on the Czech Republic. The poverty can currently be measured by using different approaches. The most important to measure poverty are the absolute and relative approaches. In the developed countries the relative approach is used to measure poverty, which is dependent on the distribution of household income. At-risk-of-poverty threshold is set at sixty percent of the median equalized disposable household income. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the impact of income household distribution in the Czech Republic on at-risk-of-poverty rate and to assess sensitivity of this indicator for definition of poverty threshold. In the Czech Republic the income inequality is on a very low rate and also the lowest at-risk-of-poverty rate in the European Union. The analysis is based on microdata from EU-SILC 2016. |
