Male and female identity in today's society

Identita současných mužů a žen je ovlivněna vývojem celé společnosti a změnami, ke kterým dochází prostřednictvím vlivu různých faktorů. V teoretické části jsou charakterizované základní pojmy, které slouží k lepšímu pochopení problematiky, změny a trendy v současné společnosti jsou demonstrované prostřednictvím statistických údajů zachytávajících gendrovou situaci v klíčových tematických oblastech. V rámci výzkumu byli realizované hloubkové rozhovory se starostkami obcí v Slovenské republice, kterých vyhodnocení probíhalo za využité obsahové analýzy. Cílem této práce je identifikace projevů identity žen ve funkci starostky obce. V závěru práce jsou popsány nejdůležitější zjištění z rešerše literatury a výsledky realizovaného výzkumu.

The identity of today's men and women is influenced by the development of society as a whole and by changes that occur due to the effect of various factors. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts that serve to better understand the whole issue. The changes and trends in the present society are demonstrated through statistical data capturing the gender situation in key thematic areas. In-depth interviews with mayors of municipalities in the Slovak Republic were carried out as a part of the research and later were evaluated using content analysis. The aim of this thesis is to identify the manifestation of women's identity as a mayor of a municipality. Finally, the most important findings from the literature search and the results of the research carried out are described at the end of the thesis.
