| Abstract: | Cílem této disertační práce je analýza vlivu individuálních faktorů na velikost a růst startupů. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na pohlaví, věk, počet vlastníků, podnikatelsky specifické charakteristiky, vzdělání, počet hodin věnovaných podnikání, podnikatelským zkušenostem, počtu zakladatelů, předchozí podnikatelský úspěch a jejich vliv na počet zaměstnanců a obrat startupu. V teoretické části prezentuje výsledky literární rešerše na téma startupy, růst firem, individuální faktory. Na základě teoretické části je navržen teoretický model, který je následně ověřován v části empirické. Stanovené hypotézy jsou testovány s pomocí tří datových vzorků, které tvoří tři studie. Pro vyhodnocení jsou využity korelační, regresní analýzy a chi-square test. Analýzy prokazují vliv pohlaví, věku, počtu vlastníků, vzdělání, hodin věnovaných podnikání, podnikatelské zkušenosti, počtu zakladatelů a podnikatelského úspěchu na velikost a růst startupů. Práce potvrdila převahu mužů jako zakladatelů startupů. |

| Abstract: | The goal of this dissertation thesis is analysis of individual factors influence on the size and growth of startups in the Czech Republic. The focus is on gender, age, number of owners, entrepreneurial characteristics, education, time investment, entrepreneurial experiences and number of founders, previous success as independent values; number of employees and turnover as dependent variables. The theoretical part is literature review of startups, company growth, individual factors. Theoretical model is proposed based on the theoretical part and is tested in three studies using different data samples. Correlation, regression and chi-square test are used to analyze the data. The results confirm influence of gender, age, education, time investment, entrepreneurial experiences, number of founders and previous success on size and growth of startups. It confirms that startups founder are mainly men. |
