| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje dopadům měnové politiky České národní banky na české hospodářství od roku 1993 až do současnosti. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část je zaměřena na teoretické aspekty fungování centrálních bank, na teoretické koncepty měnové politiky a různé pohledy ekonomických škol na tyto koncepty. Dále první část obsahuje detailní rozbor nástrojů měnové politiky. Praktická část se věnuje měnové politice ČNB od roku 1993 do roku 2017. Zkoumá vliv měnové politiky na vývoj reálné ekonomiky v České republice. Nejdůležitějšími body této diplomové práce jsou analýza cílování inflace od roku 1998 a dopady devizových intervencí na reálnou ekonomiku v letech 2013 – 2017. Z důvodu chybných prognóz a nečekaných a těžko ovlivnitelných exogenních faktorů bylo shledáno dodržování inflačního cíle jako nepříliš úspěšné. Zavedení kurzového závazku zvýšilo export a dopomohlo k rychlejšímu růstu HDP, ale nesplnilo primární cíl zvýšení inflace. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the impact of monetary policy of Czech National Bank on the Czech economy from 1993 until present. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical aspects of functioning of the central banks, on the theoretical concepts of monetary policy and different views of economic universities on these concepts. Furthermore the first part contains detailed analysis of monetary policy instruments. The practical part deals with monetary policy of CNB from 1993 to 2017. It studies the influence of monetary policy on the development of the real economy in the Czech Republic. The most important points of this thesis are analysis of inflation targeting since 1998 and the impact of foreign exchange interventions on the real economy in 2013-2017. Due to erroneous forecasts and unexpected and difficult to influence exogenous factors, compliance with the inflation target was found to be unsuccessful. The introduction of the exchange rate commitment has increased export and helped to accelerate GDP growth but has not met the primary objective of increasing inflation. |
