| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problémem přemísťování prázdných kontejnerů v intermodální přepravě a navrhuje možnosti řešení tohoto problému. V teoretické části práce je charakterizována současná situace na trhu námořní přepravy, popsána problematika repositioningu prázdných kontejnerů, příčiny vzniku tohoto problému a jeho důsledky. V praktické části jsou navrženy jednotlivé varianty řešení problému prázdných kontejnerů, popsány jejich klady a zápory, dále jsou provedeny rozhovory s reprezentanty logistických společností s cílem zjistit jejich názor na tento problém a prodiskutovat, jak jsou v praxi použitelné některé z navržených variant řešení problému přemísťování prázdných kontejnerů. Pro získání informací použitých v praktické části práce byl proveden primární a sekundární výzkum. Primární výzkum byl proveden v podobě rozhovorů se zástupci multimodálního transportního operátora a rejdařské společnosti. Pro sekundární výzkum byly použity informace pocházející z odborných článků a internetových stránek. V závěrečné části práce jsou uvedeny hlavní závěry plynoucí z výzkumu. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis is dedicated to the empty container repositioning problem in intermodal freight transport and suggests possible solutions of this problem. The first part of the thesis focuses on the current situation on the maritime transport market, the problem of empty container repositioning, the cause of the problem and its consequences. The second part presents particula solutions of the problem of empty containers and describes their advantages and disadvantages. It is followed by interviews with representatives of logistics companies, which discuss practical application of proposed solutions. Primary and secondary research was carried out to acquire the information used in the second part of the thesis. Primary research was conducted in the form of interviews with representatives of the multimodal transport operator and the shipping company. Secondary research uses information from expert articles and websites. The final part of the thesis contains the main conclusions based on the conducted research. |
