| Abstract: | Práce je věnována problematice veřejného prostoru, ochrany památek a územního plánování v Prachaticích. Popisuje urbanistický a historický vývoj města, jeho památkové hodnoty, speciálně se věnuje otázce veřejného prostoru ve městě. Výzkum se zaměřuje na přístup místních aktérů k tvorbě územního plánu, péči o veřejný prostor a k ochraně architektury 20. století. Postihuje současné problémy fungování veřejného prostoru v Prachaticích a přínos místních aktérů k jeho oživení. Specifikuje aktuální problémy urbanismu, územního plánování a ochrany památek Prachatic jako modelového města střední velikosti. |

| Abstract: | The topic of the thesis is an analysis of public spaces, preservation of buildings of cultural significance, and regional development in the town of Prachatice. It describes urban and historical development of the town, its historically important buildings, and explores the issues of its public spaces.The research focuses on the involvement of local citizens in spatial planning, public space renewal, and preservation of 20th century architecture. It describes the issues of functioning of public spaces, and the benefits of inclusion of local citizens in the process. It specifies the current issues of urbanism, spatial planning, public space and preservation of historical heritage of Prachatice as a typical mid-size town. |
