| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá zdravotnickým systémem Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska. Nejprve jsou vymezeny teoretické koncepty zdravotnických systémů. Poté je představen zdravotnických systém Spojeného království. Důležitou součástí je představení současné organizační struktury britského zdravotnictví. Následně je provedena analýza výdajů na zdravotnictví. Součástí práce je hodnocení kvality poskytovaných služeb zdravotní péče. Hlavní část práce tvoří analýza efektivnosti nákladů a komparace údajů z oblasti zdravotnictví dosahovaných Spojeným královstvím s údaji vykazovanými vybranými státy OECD. V závěru práce je zhodnocen zdravotnický systém Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis presents the health system in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. First, the theoretical concepts of health systems are introduced. Next part of the thesis contains a characteristic of the health system in the United Kingdom. There is the introduction of present organisation structure of the National Health Service. Subsequently, an analysis of health expenditure is performed. The thesis includes an evaluation of the quality of health care services. Main part of the thesis contains the cost effectiveness analysis and comparison of the United Kingdom and selected OECD countries. At the end of the thesis, the health system in the United Kingdom is evaluated. |
