| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je statisticky analyzovat Index ekonomické svobody. V úvodní kapitole představíme fenomén ekonomické svobody a instituty zabývající se její kvantifikací. Jsou to Fraser institut a Heritage foundation. Ukážeme strukturu Indexu ekonomické svobody.V další části se zaměříme na historický vývoj indexu od obou institutů.V hlavní části práce budeme aplikovat metody vícerozměrné statistiky na Indexy ekonomické svobody. Použijeme metodu hlavních komponent a faktorovou analýzu k odhalení latentních faktorů stojících v pozadí. Budeme redukovat množství sledovaných veličin při tvorbě Indexu ekonomické svobody bez výrazné ztráty informace. Provedeme shlukovou analýzu jak jednotlivých zemí, tak proměnných vstupujících do výpočtu Indexu ekonomické svobody.V závěru okomentujeme výstupy, pokusíme se interpretovat, a zformulovat výsledek naší analýzy Indexu ekonomické svobody. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this diploma thesis is to statistically analyze the Index of Economic Freedom. In the introductory part we will introduce the phenomenon of economic freedom and the institutes dealing with its quantification. They are Fraser Institute and Heritage Foundation. We will show the structure of the Index of Economic Freedom.In the next part we will focus on the historical development of the index from both institutes.In the main part of the thesis we will apply the multidimensional statistics methods to the Index of Economic Freedom. We use the main component method and factor analysis to detect latent factors. We will reduce the amount of tracked variables in creating of the Index of Economic Freedom without significant loss of information. We will perform a cluster analysis of countries and variables entering the calculation of the Economic Freedom Index.In conclusion, we comment on the outputs, try to interpret and formulate the result of our analysis of the Index of Economic Freedom. |
