Konkrétně na téma stanovení optimální regulatorní zátěže, řešení problému "too big to fail" a odstranění Volckerova pravidla. |

Abstract: | The diploma thesis focuses on an expected change in the direction of banking regulation in the United States, reflecting Donald Trump´s administration after his election. It begins with a review of periods in American banking history which have a significant impact on today’s form of banking regulation. The second chapter starts with the introduction of American banking market and then it explains the dual banking system specifics and describes its supervisory authorities. The following part includes current regulatory framework based on implementation of Basel III and the Dodd-Frank Act. After that, it talks about the Republican Party’s interest in regulatory relief represented by their Financial CHOICE Act proposal and an already enacted bill s.2155. The last part of the thesis discusses three important topics of banking regulation that have also been part of the conflict between supporters and opponents of Dodd-Frank Act repeal—optimal capital requirement, the "too big to fail" issue, Volcker rule. |
