| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá Pražskou burzou v letech 1918 – 1938. Popisuje situaci v poválečné době, kdy Pražská burza byla v nově vzniklém Československu v nelehké pozici. Neměla vhodnou budovu, postrádala technické vybavení a dostatečně širokou burzovní klientelu. Pražská burza v tomto období nedokázala naplnit svůj potenciál. Přesto dokázala plnit své funkce. Byla místem, kde byly obchodovány státní půjčky, cizí měny a akcie významných československých podniků. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the Prague exchange in the years 1918-1938. It describes a situation in the post-war period, when there was the Prague exchange in a difficult situation in newly established state of Czechoslovakia. There was no suitable building for the exchange, there were also a lack of technical equipment and sufficiently broad stock market. The Prague Exchange failed to fulfill its potential during this period, nevertheless it was able to perfom its functions. It was an important place, where the government loans, foreign currency and shares of major Czechoslovak companies were traded. |
