| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce vyhodnocuje efektivnost devizových intervencí provedených ČNB v letech 2013 – 2017 a analyzuje jejich účinky na vývoj míry inflace v ČR. Práce popisuje specifickou situaci v české ekonomice, která vedla ČNB k rozhodnutí využít měnový kurz jako nástroj měnové politiky. Zkoumá vývoj a průběh devizových intervencí a zabývá se jejich skutečnými účinky na míru inflace ve vymezeném období. Pro detailnější nahlédnutí do průběhu intervencí konfrontuje práce predikce ČNB se skutečným vývojem v ekonomice a se zpětnou deskripcí dané situace představiteli ČNB. Výsledkem práce je hodnocení potřebnosti, účinnosti a provedení, jakým ČNB průběh devizových intervencí řídila. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis evaluates the efficiency of foreign exchange interventions implemented by the Czech National Bank in the years 2013 to 2017. Also, it analyzes their influence on the inflation rate in the Czech Republic. This thesis describes the specific situation in the Czech economy, which led the CNB to the conclusion to use the currency exchange rate as a tool of monetary policy. It examines the progress and process of foreign exchange interventions and deals with their real effects on the inflation rate in the defined period. To get a more detailed view of the process of intervening, it confronts the predictions of the CNB with real economic development and with the retroactive description of the given situation made by the representatives of the CNB. The outcome of this thesis is the evaluation of necessity, effectiveness, and the means by which the CNB managed the process of foreign exchange interventions. |
