| Abstract: | This thesis explores the determinants of FDI inflows to the CEE region in context of tax competition. We are particularly interested in explanatory power of tax levels. Apart from the empirical analysis, we are focusing on the literature review of papers dealing with either tax competition or FDI inflows into the region, on the development of EU framework of tax governance and on the debates on tax harmonization among the EU countries. |

| Abstract: | Práce zkoumá determinanty toků přímých zahraničních investic do regionu střední a východní Evropy v kontextu fenoménu daňové konkurence. Obzvláštní důraz je kladen na zjišťování síly vlivu daňové sazby jako vysvětlující proměnné. Krom empirické analýzy se práce zaměřuje na přezkoumání vědecké literatury, která se věnuje daňové konkurenci, přímým zahraničním investicím do zmíněného regionu, správě daní na úrovni Evropské Unie a debatám o daňové harmonizaci mezi členskými zeměmi EU. |
