| Abstract: | Hlavním tématem diplomové práce je Obecné nařízení o ochraně osobních údajů (anglicky General Data Protection Regulation). Cílem práce je zhodnotit jeho přínosy a případná negativa a zjistit jeho právní, ekonomické a organizační dopady na vybranou společnost. Diplomová práce vymezuje zásadní body a povinnosti, které správcům osobních údajů v ČR plynou z GDPR, ale také například odpovídá na otázky, zda je opravdu revolučním právním předpisem nebo jestli je nutné se bát astronomicky vysokých pokut, které byly v průběhu roku 2018 značně připomínány v médiích. |

| Abstract: | The main topic of the diploma thesis is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The aim of the thesis is to evaluate its benefits and possible negatives and to identify its legal, economic and organizational impacts on the selected company. The diploma thesis defines new crucial points and duties for the data controllers based in the Czech Republic, but also answers, for example, whether GDPR is really a revolutionary regulation or whether it is necessary to fear astronomical sanctions under GDPR, which were heavily accented by the media throughout 2018. |
