Abstract:
Klimatické změny jsou v dnešní době frekventovaným tématem debat, diskuze o ní bezesporu nemají již pouze původně environmentální dimenzi, nýbrž jsou klimatické změny záležitostí zkoumanou taktéž v oblasti bezpečnostních studií. Tato práce pozoruje proces sekuritizace klimatických změn a identifkuje bezpečností implikace, které s sebou tyto změny přináší. Tato práce zkoumá vztah konfliktů, migrace a adaptace. Na základě těchto poznatků jsou zkoumány adaptační strategie, jako jednoho z možných řešení bezpečnostních výzev v souvislosti s klimatickými změnami. Tyto poznatky jsou aplikovány na případové studii Eritrea, kde je zkoumáno, jaké dopady mají klimatické změny na tamější obyvatelstvo, důvody eritrejské přeshraniční migrace a jaká je role adaptačních strategií v této zemi.

Abstract:
Climate change is nowadays a subject of frequent debates, discussions about it without a doubt surpassed its original environmental dimension, climatic changes are also a matter of concern in the field of security studies. This paper looks at the process of securitization of climate change and identifies the security implications that are connected with these changes. Relation between conflict, migration and adaptation is researched in this thesis. Based on these findings, adaptation strategies are considered as one of the possible solutions to security issues related to climate change. These research findings are consequently applied to the Eritrea case study, which examines the impacts of climate change on the local population, reasons for cross-border migration and the role of adaptation strategies in the country.
