| Abstract: | Diplomová práce má za cíl zhodnotit přínosy a možná rizika plynoucí ze členství v eurozóně a z používání společné měny. Přínosy mohou pramenit ze samotného používání eura (snížení transakčních nákladů, vyšší transparentnost u porovnávání cen zboží z různých členských států) či z členství v eurozóně (vyšší participace na společné měnové integraci). Rovněž rizika mohou vyvstat z faktické existence společné měny (fixní měnový kurz, nemožnost nezávisle upravovat nominální kurz či úrokovou sazbu), ale i z důvodu členství v měnové unii (přispívání do společného fondu a stabilizačního mechanismu). |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis aims to evaluate the benefits and potential risks arising from euro area membership and the use of the common currency. Benefits may stem from the use of the euro itself (reduction of transaction costs, greater transparency in comparing the prices of goods from different Member States) or from the euro area membership (higher participation in common monetary integration). Risks can also arise from the factual existence of a common currency (fixed exchange rate, the impossibility of adjusting the nominal rate or interest rate independently), but also due to membership of the monetary union (contribution to the common fund and stabilization mechanism). |
