| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá analýzou vývoje vztahů EU vůči Ukrajině na pozadí ukrajinské krize. Dané téma je aktuální z důvodu událostí, ke kterým došlo na konci roku 2013 a které probíhají souběžně se psaním diplomové práce. Hlavním cílem práce je prozkoumat vývoj hospodářských vztahů EU a Ukrajiny jak v rámci Evropské politiky sousedství, tak i po podepsání Asociační dohody. Práce je rozdělena do 3 kapitol, které analyzují vnější činnost EU z hlediska přidružení Ukrajiny, účinky Asociační dohody na vzájemné hospodářské vztahy a dopad posílení spolupráce Ukrajiny s EU na politické a obchodní vztahy s Ruskou federací. V závěru je zdůrazněno, že Ukrajina již dosáhla určitých výsledků při plnění požadavků EU, ale proces implementace zatím není ukončen. K jeho úspěšné realizaci je třeba aktivně provádět další reformy a zejména bojovat s korupcí. Příčinou zpomalení jeho naplňování je zhoršení politické situace na Ukrajině a zaměření Unie na jiné priority. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyzes the development of the European Union’s relationships with Ukraine amid the Ukrainian crisis. The topic is relevant because of the events that happened at the end of 2013 and which are still going on whilst this thesis is being written. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the development of economic relations between the EU and Ukraine through the European Neighborhood Policy and after the Association Agreement was signed. This thesis is divided into three chapters which analyzes the external approach of the EU in terms of the Ukrainian Association, how the Association Agreement affected economic relations between EU and Ukraine. Finally, the impact of enhanced cooperation between the EU and Ukraine creates relationship problems with the Russian Federation. In conclusion, this study clearly demonstrates that Ukraine has already achieved some progress in harmonization. However, this process still needs to continue. Furthermore, efforts with a strong focus on reforms and fighting corruption are necessary in order to succeed in the implementation of the EU’s requirements. Subsequently, the execution of the project has been delayed due to the deterioration of the political situation in Ukraine and the EU having other priorities. |
