| Abstract: | Jaký je současný světový trend v rámci příjmových nerovností? Existují dostatečně efektivní možnosti, jak příjmové rozdíly ve společnosti snížit? Tato diplomová práce propojuje znalosti získané z úvodní teoretické části s jejich následnou aplikací na případ Filipín. Distribuce příjmů a bohatství je ve filipínské společnosti značně nerovnoměrná a analýza tamní situace názorně ukazuje, jaké prvky nerovnosti nejvíce ovlivňují. S pomocí tohoto přístupu jsou následně prezentovány možná řešení pro redukci nerovností ve společnosti. Práce přispívá k současně hojně diskutovanému tématu příjmových nerovností ve světě svým přístupem, který je založen na pochopení specifického charakteru filipínského hospodářství a tamní společnosti. |

| Abstract: | What is the current global trend in income inequality? Are there any effective ways to reduce income differences in the society? This diploma thesis applies the knowledge gained from the theoretical part to the case of the Philippines. Distribution of income and wealth in the Filipino society is very uneven, and the analysis of the situation in the Philippines clearly defines the elements that affect inequalities the most. Based on this approach, possible solutions to reduce inequalities in the society are presented. The work contributes to the widely discussed topic of income inequalities in the world with its approach that reflects the specific nature of the Philippine economy and society. |
