| Abstract: | Tato práce si klade za primární cíl stanovit úroveň potencionální úrovně internetové závislosti u studentů Vysoké školy ekonomické a využívá k tomu nástroj hojně využívaný pro tyto účely – IAT dotazník. Jelikož je IAT dotazník v angličtině, klade si tato práce za další cíl provést překlad IAT dotazníku do češtiny pomocí komparativního překladu tří nezávislých překladatelů. Výzkumu se následně účastní 55 studentů Vysoké školy ekonomické a výsledky onoho výzkumu poukazují pouze na přítomnost pěti případů s přiměřenou úrovní internetové závislosti, ve zbylých případech se jedná buďto o nulovou přítomnost internetové závislosti nebo o mírnou úroveň internetové závislosti. Zjišťovány byly také průměrné nejvýše skórující faktory identifikující internetovou závislost v IAT dotazníku a bylo zjištěno, že nejvýše skórujícími faktory jsou nadměrné užívání, salience a ztráta kontroly. Následně je testována kvalita překladu, který se dle zvolených ukazatelů úspěšnosti nejeví jako dostatečně úspěšným. |

| Abstract: | The main goal of this thesis is to determine the level of potential internet addiction present in the students of University of Economics in Prague. For this purpose, this thesis uses the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and because IAT is in English, the secondary goal of this thesis is to provide a Czech translation of IAT using comparative translations from three independent translators. Fifty-five students from University of Economics in Prague then participated in the research. The results of the research showed the presence of a moderate level of internet addiction only in five cases, the rest of the students showed either no level of internet addiction or a mild level of internet addiction. This thesis also gathered information about mean highest scoring factors identifying internet addiction in IAT and excessive use factor, salience factor and loss of control factor proved to be the highest scoring factors. Subsequently, the quality of translation was tested, which proved to be insufficiently successful. |
