Comparison of the development of unemployment according to the achieved level of education of the population in the Pilsen Region and the Moravian-Silesian Region in the years 2007-2017

| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá komparací vývoje nezaměstnanosti podle dosažené úrovně vzdělání obyvatelstva a vybraných ukazatelů trhu práce v Plzeňském a Moravskoslezském kraji v letech 2007-2017. V teoretické části metodou odborné literární rešerše vymezuji základní pojmy související s trhem práce, nezaměstnaností, státní politikou zaměstnanosti a vzděláním. V praktické části využívám metodu analýzy a komparace ke zhodnocení současného stavu trhu práce ve zkoumaných oblastech. Stěžejní část práce je zaměřena na komparaci krajů z hlediska vývoje nezaměstnanosti a vybraných ukazatelů trhu práce podle dosažené úrovně vzdělání. Na základě shromážděných dat navrhuji v závěru práce hospodářsko-politická doporučení. Výsledkem práce je srovnávací studie, která potvrdila stále větší aktuálnost tématu. Oba monitorované kraje vykazovaly po celé období výrazné rozdíly. Zatímco v Plzeňském kraji je stav trhu práce velmi příznivý a bylo tomu tak po celou dobu šetření, tak v Moravskoslezském kraji jsou hodnoty stále alarmující, a to i přes mírný progres v posledních letech. Za hlavní příčinu tohoto problému považuji nedostatečnou úroveň vzdělání obyvatel Moravskoslezského kraje a nesoulad mezi úrovní vzdělání dosaženou uchazeči o zaměstnání a úrovní vzdělání požadovanou na trhu práce. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the development of unemployment according to the achieved level of education of the population and selected indicators of the labor market in the Pilsen Region and the Moravian-Silesian Region in the years 2007-2017. In the theoretical part I define the basic concepts related with the labor market, the unemployment, the state employment policy and the education. In the practical part I use the method of analysis and comparison to evaluate the current state of the labor market in the monitored areas. The crucial part of the thesis focuses on the comparison of regions in terms of the development of unemployment and selected indicators of the labor market according to the achieved level of education. On the basis of the collected data I propose an economic-political recommendations at the end of the thesis. The result of the thesis is a comparative study, that confirmed the topicality of the topic. Both monitored regions showed significant differences throughout the period. While the state of the labor market is very favorable in the Pilsen region and it was so throughout the investigation, so the values in the Moravian-Silesian region are still alarming, despite the slight progress in recent years. The main cause of this problem is the insufficient level of education of the inhabitants of the Moravian-Silesian Region and a mismatch between the level of education achieved by job applicants and the level of education required in the labor market. |
