| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je ilustrovat Ponziho schéma, osvětlit jeho legální využití a vypočítat pravděpodobnost jeho selhání. V teoretické části se práce zabývá popisem Ponziho schématu a jeho verzí, definováním dluhu a deficitu. Dále se tato část zabývá rozdílnou metodikou jejich výpočtu a vývojem dluhu, podmínkami využití racionálního Ponziho schématu a vlivu inflace na státní dluh. V empirické části se práce zaměřuje na výpočet pravděpodobnosti selhání racionální Ponziho hry za použití pokročilých statistických metod. Důraz je kladen na konkrétní popis situace v České republice. |

| Abstract: | The thesis explores the idea of a Ponzi scheme. The primary purpose is to enlighten its legal use and calculate probability of its failure. The theoretical part deals with the description of the Ponzi scheme as such, defining variables "debt" and "deficit", different methodology of their calculation and evolution of the government debt, conditions of using rational Ponzi scheme and impact of inflation on the government debt. This theoretical foundation is then followed by the empirical part where the primary concern is the calculation of probability of rational Ponzi game failure. This is done by using advanced statistical methods. Specific description of the situation in the Czech Republic is emphasized. |
