Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje zatížení minerálních olejů spotřebními daněmi v členských státech Evropské unie. |

Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the taxation of mineral oils by excise taxes in member states of EU. In the first part, it aims to characterize excise duty, their historical development and shaping the current excise tax system for energy products, including EU legislation. This thesis also describes the taxation of petrol and gas oil and provides an overview of tax rates of the EU member countries. Aim of practical part is to test the hypothesis of tax advantage of gas oil over petrol using statistical hypothesis testing, specifically the student’s t-test. Results indicate that petrol is taxed more in the EU member countries than gas oil. This difference is however not statistically significant enough for t-test to verify a tax advantage |
