Abstract: | Creativity in art is influenced by the environment, encompassing the state provisions, which directly or indirectly support the development of the independent artistic sector. Recent decades have seen the transformation of art and its support as part of the creative industries. The research project identifies the trends in supporting creativity in the arts sector in 2008-2016, including the examples of best practice, which can be applied to strategic measures and the arts sector. The theoretical part of the project results in a proposal for a new definition of cultural entrepreneurship of non-profit cultural and art organizations. The proposal is used in the practical part of the research. The practical activity is divided into a comparison of case studies on the international level of the Netherlands, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and on the Czech level regarding three selected non-profit art subjects. The international comparison presents three models of how art is supported by the state, with mapping of the environment and new tools for the support of art. On the national level, the research contains three case studies: Berg Orchestra, Cirk La Putyka and Moravian Gallery in Brno. The focus of the analysis is new approaches of non-profit arts organizations to gain support for their activities, using the principles of cultural entrepreneurship. Research on the national level embraces outputs of focus groups and questionnaires. The general output of the reserch is the proposed direct and indirect forms of the state support of art in the Czech Republic and appropriate tools of cultural entrepreneurship, which can be used by the non-profit sector in the arts. |
