The process of startup creation and development, application of the Lean Startup methodology

The diploma thesis focuses on startup companies, their unique specifics, creation and development. The purpose of this work is to explain in greater details The Lean Startup methodology, which is recommended to be followed while founding and managing a startup. The thesis clarifies its principles together with a real life example of its application on an existing startup. The first chapter describes startups in general with focus on their characteristics, life-cycle and startup’s evaluation from investor‘s point of view. The second part emphasizes The Lean Startup methodology, describes its standards, on which it explains the methodology’s effectiveness and reasons for its implementation. Application of the methodology is then described in the analytical part of the thesis.
