| Abstract: | Cílem práce je vymezení významu sóji jako obchodní komodity a analýza její důležitosti v kontextu mezinárodního obchodu Spojených států amerických, a to z hlediska jak ekonomického, tak i politického. V první části práce je pojednáno o vývoji obchodu se sójou a největších světových producentech. Ve druhé části práce jsou zpracovány informace o zemědělství Spojených států a tamějších farmářích, dále pak analýza významu sóji v zahraniční obchodě USA. Ve třetí kapitole je analyzován obchod se sójou pouze mezi USA a Čínou. Během obchodní války započaté v roce 2018 mezi USA a Čínou se stala sója jednou z komodit, na níž byla uvalená cla, a proto je ve třetí kapitole provedena analýza hodnoty obchodu se sójou mezi těmito dvěma zeměmi a možné politické dopady tohoto ochranného opatření. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this work is to define the importance of soybeans on a commodity market and to analyse its importance in the context of international trade of the United States of America in both economic and political terms. In the first part of this thesis, there is information about the past soybean trade development and current largest producers. In the second part, there is information about US agriculture and farmers and a calculation of the soybean part in the US total export of goods. In the third chapter, there is an analysis of the soybean trade between United States and China only. During the trade war that started in 2018, tariffs were imposed on soybeans, therefore there is an analysis of the soybean trade value between these two countries and possible political and economic impacts of the tariff imposition. |
