Factors affecting zoo visitor attendance in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis explores factors, which affect zoo visitor attendance in the Czech Republic. The bachelor thesis is divided into two main chapters: Theoretical-methodological part and Results and discussion. The aim of the Theoretical-methodological part was to introduce zoos as a tourism motive, their importance and methodology regarding statistical evaluation. In the chapter Results and discussion, the aim was to introduce and discuss the findings.Using the Spearman's correlation coefficient in the computing language R, it was established, that the factors affecting zoo visitor attendance are own revenues not counting revenues from admission costs and admission costs for adults during summer period. Other selected factors, i.e. expanse of exhibition area, number of animal species, public subsidies, population and number of tourists in administrative region, where the zoo is located, were not established as significant.
