| Abstract: | Tato práce se zaměřuje na problematiku transnacionálních společností v Evropské unii. Jejím cílem je popsat současné postavení transnacionálních společností v členských státech EU.První kapitola popisuje roli transnacionálních společností ve světové ekonomice na základě analýzy jejich historie, výhod a nevýhod pro národní státy, dále představuje evropské prostředí, překážky pro vstup na JVT a klade důraz i na globální hodnotové řetězce. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje přímo na transnacionální společnosti působící v Evropské unii. Jsou tu porovnány členské státy z hlediska atraktivity pro transnacionální společnosti, dále popisuje jejich legální i nelegální praktiky v EU a zaměřuje se i na stupeň zapojení jednotlivých členských států EU do globálních hodnotových řetězců. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the issue of multinational companies in the European Union. The aim of this thesis is to describe the current position of multinational companies in member states of the EU. The first chapter describes the position of multinational companies in the world economy based on their historical analysis, advantages and disadvantages for national states. It concentrates on the European environment, barriers to trade in the EU and emphasizes the role of global value chains.The second chapter focuses on multinational companies that operate in the EU. Member states are compared in terms of attractiveness for these companies. It focuses on their legal and illegal activities in the EU and on the GVC participation in the EU member states. |
