| Abstract: | Diplomová práce zkoumá historické základy i současnou podobu česko-(jiho)korejských vztahů, které v současnosti získávají na významu. Cílem práce je analýza dějinných předpokladů spolupráce a jejich komparace, následně zhodnocení současné podoby vztahů České a Korejské republiky. Teoretický základ definuje malé státy a střední mocnosti, což naznačuje jak vyváženost vztahů, tak postavení obou států globálně. Na základě geografických, ekonomických, sociálních a politických východisek práce určuje další možnosti vztahů a zároveň možná místa neshod. Práce následně provádí analýzu a komparaci historického vývoje obou států, hledá podobné zkušenosti i odlišné momenty. Práce zohledňuje také vliv KLDR na straně Korejské republiky a Evropskou unii jako významný faktor pro české zahraniční vztahy. Analyzovány jsou také politické, ekonomické, kulturní vztahy a spolupráce v cestovním ruchu, ve vědě a vzdělávání |

| Abstract: | This master thesis analyses historical foundations and the present shape of the Czech-(South) Korean relations, which are steadily gaining on importance. The goal of the thesis is the analysis of historical prerequisites for cooperation and their comparison, subsequent evaluation of present relations of the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea. The theoretical base is built on the definition of small states and middle powers, which hints at the balance of this relationship, and also at the global place of both states. Based on geographical, economic, social and political facts, the thesis determines further possibilities for cooperation and at the same time possible places for misunderstanding. The thesis subsequently analyses and compares historical development of both states, looks for similar experience and also different moments. The thesis also considers the influence of DPRK on the side of the Republic of Korea, and the European Union as an influential factor for the Czech foreign relations. The current shape of political, economic and cultural relations and cooperation in tourism, science and education is also considered. |
