| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je rozbor současného ekonomického významu arktického regionu a na jeho základě vyslovit prognózy potencionálního vývoje této oblasti a jednotlivých ekonomických odvětví. Zkoumání ekonomického významu a hospodářského potencionálu je prováděno na pozadí geopolitických souvislostí vzhledem k faktu, že v dnešní době Arktida představuje jednu z důležitých oblastí světa se vzrůstajícím globálním a geopolitickým významem kvůli globálnímu oteplování. Práce je strukturovaná do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola se zaměřuje na vymezení regionu Arktidy z pohledu geografického, přírodního a klimatického. Dále popisuje teoretický základ geopolitiky a je zakončena historickým exkurzem. Druhá kapitola analyzuje současný vliv arktických států a zaměřuje se na důležité komodity, kterými Arktida disponuje. Na konci druhé kapitoly je stanoven rozbor ostatního ekonomického využití, které se v Arktidě nachází. Třetí kapitola navazuje na již zjištěné informace z předchozích kapitol a jsou zde popsány prognózy potencionálního ekonomického využití regionu. Současně se zde autor zamýšlí nad těmito možnými perspektivami. |

| Abstract: | The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the current economic importance of the Arctic region and to predict the potential development of this region and individual economic sectors. The exploration of economic importance and economic potential is carried out against the backdrop of geopolitical context. Nowadays the Arctic represents one of the most important areas of the world with increasing global and geopolitical significance due to the global warming. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter focuses on the delimitation of the Arctic region from the geographical, natural and climatic point of view. It also describes the theoretical basis of geopolitics concluding the historical excursion. The second chapter analyses the current influence of the Arctic states and focuses on the important commodities, which the Arctic possesses. At the end of the second chapter, there is an analysis of the other economic uses in the Arctic. The third chapter follows up on the already identified information from the previous chapters and describes the forecasts of potential economic use of the region. At the same time, the author reflects on these possible perspectives. |
