| Abstract: | Cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení Kanady na světovém trhu cukru. První kapitola se zabývá základní charakteristikou cukrové třtiny a cukrové řepy, následuje historické shrnutí obchodu s cukrem, oblasti pěstování a druhy cukru dle zpracování a využití. V neposlední řadě lze v této kapitole nalézt informace o náhražkách cukru a nových formách jeho využití.Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na světový trh s cukrem, kde se specifikuje celkové využití cukru. Následuje analýza nabídky a poptávky na světovém trhu, vývoj světové ceny cukru společně s faktory, jež ji ovlivňují a nastínění těch nejvýznamnějších producentů. Poslední kapitola pojme svým obsahem samotnou Kanadu, k jejíž analýze je nutno zohlednit několik faktorů, mezi které patří klimatická a geografická charakteristika, základní makroekonomické ukazatele, produkční a vývozní výkonnost této komodity včetně forem obchodování. V neposlední řadě je zde prezentován Fairtrade s cukrem. Na závěr jsou popsány perspektivy kanadského trhu s cukrem. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to evaluate Canada in the global sugar market. The first chapter deals with the basic characteristics of sugar cane and sugar beet, including historical summary of sugar trade, areas of cultivation along with the types of sugar and their processing and utilization. Last but not least, this chapter provides information about sugar substitutes and new forms of its use.The second chapter focuses on the global sugar market, where an overall use of sugar. Another point makes the analysis of world sugar supply and demand, the evolution of the sugar prices along with the factors that affect it the most, including outlining the most important producers. The last chapter deals with the characteristics of Canada itself to which the analysis is necessary to consider several factors, including climate and geographical characteristics, basic macroeconomic indicators, production and export performance of this commodity and several forms of trading. Finally, the Fairtrade with sugar is presented. In conclusion, the perspectives of the Canadian sugar market are described. |
