Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá čínskými přímými zahraničními investicemi v České republice a v Maďarsku. Druhá kapitola popisuje čínské inciativy 16+1 a Novou hedvábnou stezku. Třetí a čtvrtá kapitola analyzují situaci čínských PZI v České republice a v Maďarsku na základě vývoje čínských PZI v daných ekonomikách a konkrétních investicích. |

Abstract: | This bachelor thesis focuses on Chinese foreign direct investments in the Czech Republic and Hungary. The aim of the thesis is to compare the development of Chinese foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic and Hungary during the period 2008-2017 and to evaluate the factors that influenced the inflow of Chinese FDI into both observed economies. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part introduces the reader to the basic theory of FDI and examines the development of Chinese FDI in Europe and its determinants and possible risks. The second chapter describes Chinese initiatives 16+1 and the Belt and Road Initiative. The third and fourth chapter analyse the situation of Chinese FDI in the Czech Republic and Hungary based on the development of Chinese FDI in given economies and specific investments. The thesis concludes that Chinese FDI have been a new reality in the Czech Republic since 2015, while Hungary has been able to maintain larger portion of Chinese FDI since 2008. This fact can be explained by the strategic position of Hungary on the transport routes within the Belt and Road Initiative leading to Europe. |
