| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se věnuje unijnímu programu LIFE, konkrétně zkoumá využívání tohoto finančního nástroje českými subjekty. Cílem práce je tedy blíže zmapovat současnou situaci čerpání disponibilních finančních prostředků s důrazem na identifikaci možných důvodů nedostatečného zájmu ze strany českých subjektů a porovnání tohoto stavu s vybranými zeměmi EU. První kapitola se zaobírá obecným vymezením pojmu životního prostředí a s tím související environmentální politiky a možnostmi jejího financování. Druhá kapitola seznamuje čtenáře s programem LIFE obecně a s ohledem na jeho fungování v České republice. Závěrečná kapitola nahlíží na současnou situaci programu LIFE v praxi, a to prostřednictvím empirického výzkumu kombinujícího kvantitativní a kvalitativní metody. Jeho kvantitativní část spočívá v provedení komparativní analýzy vycházející z veřejně dostupných statistických dat, na kterou navazuje dotazníkové šetření s českými žadateli. Kvalitativní výzkum je následně opřen o řízené rozhovory se zástupci Národního kontaktního místa pro program LIFE v ČR a technickými monitory vybraných zemí. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the LIFE programme, in particular it examines the use of this EU´s funding instrument by the Czech entities. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the current situation of (non)receiving available financial contribution. It emphasises on identifying possible reasons for insufficient interest of the Czech entities and comparing this state with the selected EU countries. The first chapter defines the general concept of environment along with the respective environmental policy and financing. The second chapter introduces the LIFE programme in general and provides an overview of LIFE in the Czech Republic. The final chapter looks at the current situation of LIFE in practice, through empirical research combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Its quantitative part consists of a comparative analysis based on publicly available statistical data, followed by a questionnaire survey with the Czech applicants. Subsequently, qualitative research is based on interviews with the representatives of the LIFE National Contact Point in the Czech Republic and technical monitors of the selected EU countries. |
