| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá analýzou potenciálních rizik importu zemního plynu do zemí EU. Otázka dostatečné diverzifikace zdrojů zemního plynu se pro EU stala důležitou od roku 2009, kdy EU čelila odstávce ruského plynu tekoucího skrze Ukrajinu. Práce konkrétně analyzuje aktuální stav LNG terminálů a síť plynovodů vedoucích do EU, především pak zdroje, neboli země ze kterých EU zemní plyn importuje. Součástí práce je simulace odstávek dodávek plynu do zemí EU, pro které představuje odstávka zemního plynu největší riziko z pohledu energetické bezpečnosti. Analyzovány jsou minulé neúspěšné snahy o zvýšení diverzifikace EU v importu zemního plynu a příčiny těchto neúspěchů. Práce nalézá nové potenciální zdroje zemního plynu, které napomohou snížit závislost zemí EU s limitovaným množství zdrojů zemního plynu. Do souvislostí jsou dány geopolitické události doprovázející výstavbu plynovodů do EU, především pak zájmy Ruské federace o udržení pozice hegemona v dodávkách zemního plynu do EU. |

| Abstract: | The thesis analyzes a potential risks of natural gas import into the EU countries. The question of sufficient diversification of natural gas sources has become important for the EU in 2009, when the EU faced a shutdown of Russian gas flowing through Ukraine. The thesis analyzes current state of LNG terminals and the gas pipeline network leading into the EU, the sources, or countries from which the EU imports natural gas. Part of the thesis is a simulation of gas outages to EU countries, for which the shutdown of natural gas is the biggest risk in terms of energy security. Past failures to increase EU diversification in natural gas imports and the root causes of these failures are being analyzed. It finds new potential sources of natural gas that will help reduce natural gas dependence of EU countries which have limited natural gas resources. There are also mentioned geopolitical events related to the previous gas pipeline projects diversifying the EU, in particular interests of the Russian Federation to maintain its position of a hegemon of natural gas supplies into the EU. |
