| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je analýza konvergenčního procesu členských států Evropské unie z pohledu vnitřního trhu. Práce vychází ze standardního teoretického základu vývoje teorií hospodářského růstu a historie vnitřního trhu. Na základě datového srovnání 20 hospodářských, sociálních a vědecko-výzkumných kritérií je zhodnocen dosavadní průběh konvergenčního procesu, který je následně zasazen do širšího kontextu. Za pomoci odborné literatury jsou vyvozena odpovídající doporučení pro zlepšení fungování vnitřního trhu. Práce dochází k závěru, že vnitřní trh nelze považovat za jediný, ani za automatický nástroj konvergence, nicméně jeho vliv na hospodářský růst nelze popřít. Práce zároveň upozorňuje na neefektivnost současné podoby vnitřní trhu. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the master thesis is to analyse the process of convergence among member states of the European Union from the internal market perspective. The thesis is based on the standardized theoretical basis of development of economic growth theories and history of the internal market. A data comparison of 20 economic, social and science criteria has been conducted. Given results assess the process of convergence, which is subsequently construed from a wider perspective. Relevant suggestions for improvement of the internal market are drawn from appropriate bibliography. The thesis proves the internal market cannot be reckoned as either the only nor automated tool of convergence, nevertheless its effects on economic growth are evident. The thesis puts emphasis on the inefficiency of the current state of affairs within the internal market as well. |
