| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na operaci Unified Protector vedenou členskými státy NATO v rámci intervence v Libyi z roku 2011. Práce se zabývá otázkou, jestli tato operace splňuje kritéria spravedlivé války jus ad bellum a lze ji tedy označit za morálně ospravedlnitelnou. V první kapitole je kladen důraz především na moderní pojetí kritérií jus ad bellum. Práce se mimo jiné v této části zaměřuje na historický vývoj teorie spravedlivé války. V rámci historického vývoje jsou v práci také zmíněny koncepty humanitární intervence a odpovědnost chránit (R2P). V empirické části se práce zaměřuje na deskripci občanské války v Libyi a operaci Unified Protector. V prvé řadě se zaměřuje na protesty v Libyi a jejich přerod v občanskou válku. Dále jsou zde uvedeny bezprostřední reakce mezinárodního společenství na tuto situaci a v neposlední řadě zachycuje tato část práce průběh samotné operace Unified Protector. Analytická část zhodnocuje intervenci v Libyi perspektivou kritérií teorie spravedlivé války definovaných v teoretické části. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis focuses on the operation of the Unified Protector led by NATO member states in the 2011 intervention in Libya. The first chapter emphasizes the modern concept of jus ad bellum criteria. Among other things, this work focuses on the historical development of the just war theory. In the context of historical development, the thesis also mentions the concepts of humanitarian intervention and responsibility to protect (R2P). The empirical part focuses on the description of the civil war in Libya and the operation Unified Protector. First of all, it focuses on protests in Libya and their transformation into civil war. Furthermore, the immediate reactions of the international community to this situation are mentioned and, last but not least, this part of the work captures the course of the operation Unified Protector itself. The analytical part evaluates the intervention in Libya with the perspective of just war theory criteria defined in the theoretical part. |
