| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na popis a analýzu obchodní politiky prezidenta Donalda J. Trumpa vůči Kanadě. Práce vysvětluje moderní teorie obchodu a základní tarifní a netarifní opatření uplatňována v mezinárodním obchodě. Následně rozebírá obchodní vztahy mezi USA a Kanadou a vysvětluje příčiny zvolení Donalda Trumpa. Zaměření se poté přesouvá na samotnou politiku tohoto státníka, kde je důraz kladen především na celní politiku a novou smlouvu USMCA, která nahrazuje smlouva NAFTA. Závěrem jsou představeny možné scénaře budoucích obchodních vztahů mezi oběma zeměmi. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the analysis of the trade policy executed by the 45th U.S. President, Donald J. Trump, towards Canada. Modern trade theories (especially New trade theory by Paul Krugman) are explained in the first half along with tariff and non-tariff barriers used in international trade. The focus then shifts towards the pre-Trump trade relations between U.S. and Canada with special emphasis on NAFTA, the principle free trade agreement between both countries. The thesis then describes and analyzes the actual policy under the Trump presidency, with focus on the new USMCA agreement. Ultimately the thesis forecasts possible future trade relations between both nations. |
